According to the Special Committee on COVID-10 Vaccine Supply (JKAV), 45, 650,714 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to the Malaysian adult population as of Sunday (Oct 10).
The amount of fully vaccinated adults in the country now totals up to 90.02%. This was after 129, 518 doses were given out on Sunday. They also reported 94.8% (31,932 people) of the adult population has received at least one dose of vaccination.
Furthermore, as of Sunday:
- A total of 97,586 people completed their doses.
- Selangor led with the most first doses administered (6,684 doses).
- This was followed by Sabah (4,414), Johor (4,048) and Kuala Lumpur (2,980).
- Sabah led with, 34,514 people receiving their first and second doses.
- This was followed by Johor (16,286), Perak (11,004) and Penang (9,831).
This also means the interstate travel ban has now been lifted. For those excited to revisit families back in their hometowns, do remember to maintain SOPs at all times to ensure you and your loved ones stay safe.
