Attention Mummies! Primary 1 Entry Results Are Now Available Online

primary-school

Primary school signals a toddler’s first foray into the world of formal education. It’s both a scary and exciting time for both parent and child, but definitely a moment to be cherished. Some parents already have everything planned out. From uniforms to stationary to text books. You may have even settled their enrolment details. Either by personally registering your child into the school of your choice, or you may have enrolled them through the government’s help. Well, if you’ve registered last year in 2021 under the Ministry of Education’s Online Registration Application System (SPATKPM), the results for your child’s Primary 1 placement are now available online.

Checking Entry Status for Government Primary School

You can download the instructions for doing so here.

In order to access the results, all you have to do is login from the main page using your account details. Then click on ‘Tahun 1’ and then ‘Semak Permohonan’. You will then be directed to another page displaying your registered applicants’ details, i.e. your child(ren). Then, click on ‘Semakan’. The results will appear on the page along with the placement and the date of enrolment.

Now, it’s time to download and print the important paperwork. On the same page, click on ‘Cetak Surat Permohonan Sekolah’ and ‘Cetak Surat Persetujuan Kesihatan’. If those aren’t the result you wanted, you can make an appeal by clicking on ‘Manual Proses Permohonan Rayuan Sekolah’. However, these appeals are only applicable for applications that failed to get into their school of choice.

To summarise,

Step 1: Login at https://public.moe.gov.my/

Step 2: Tahun 1 > Semak Permohonan > Semakan

Step 3: Cetak Surat Permohonan Sekolah > Cetak Surat Persetujuan Kesihatan (to print)

Bonus Step 4: Manual Proses Permohonan Rayuan Sekolah (to appeal)

How to Register for First-Time Users

For those interested in enrolling their toddlers through the MOE online platform, registrations are now open. You can download the full instructions for doing so here. For first time users, you need to create an account in the Sistem Pengurusan Sekolah system. Only parents and guardians (adults) can register for the account. You can find the instructions for that here. All you have to do is click on ‘Pengguna Baru’ (New User) and you will be directed to a registration portal. The details that they ask for are the regular things: name, IC number, telephone, e-mail, password, and security questions. After this, you can now register your child(ren).

How to Apply

You can download the full and detailed instructions here. Login as usual. You will be redirected to your parent account. Click on ‘Permohonan Baharu’ (New Application). This will lead you to the application page where you fill in your child’s details. The information they will ask for are the standard ones:

  • full name
  • NRIC number
  • date of birth
  • address
  • religion/ethnicity
  • siblings
  • relationship to guardian
  • birth order
  • guardian information (2)
  • distance of school from home

You will need to make a new application for each child that you have. Once you’ve done filling in all the details, click ‘Peraku Benar dan Hantar’. Make sure all the information you’ve given are correct and up-to-date before clicking this button. After this, your application is sent. Now all you have to do is wait for a year until they process your child’s application and post the results on the same platform.
