Bagpipes In Aid Of OrphanCare

The Morrison’s Academy Pipe Band and Bentley Auditorium will present a special evening of musical entertainment in aid of OrphanCare on 9 April 2019. Proceeds from the charity concert, “Bagpipes for OrphanCare” will go directly towards the Orphancare Foundation.

The Morrison’s Academy Pipe Band

The Morrison’s Academy Pipe band has more than 50 members, the youngest at 8 years old. The pipers and drummers represent the school in various events over the course of the school career. The Pipe Band is very much in demand, both in the local community and beyond. They have performed at the annual Founder’s Day and Speech Day parades, and regularly represent the School at the Crieff Remembrance Day Parade and in the Scottish Independent Schools massed band Beating Retreat at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh.

Recent international forays have seen them travel to Hong Kong, New York (where they led the Tartan Day Parade in Manhattan), and to Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman where, amongst other engagements, they performed on the high seas with the Royal Navy of Oman.
