A mother’s love really knows no bounds. A video from China recently went viral, showing a mum selling her breast milk in order to earn money. What would cause a desperate mother to do so? Well, it turned out that one of her twin babies is currently in the intensive care unit and they do not have the funds to pay the medical bills.
With a medical bill of 100,000 yuan waiting for them in the hospital, the desperate mother and her husband decided to sell her breast milk in order to earn some extra money for their poor baby girl. The video, which was filmed in Shenzhen’s Children’s Park – situated centrally in Shenzhen, a major city in the Guangdong province of China, quickly went viral within China, with 2.4 million views and had more than 5000 comments.

The desperate mother’s husband commented that when their baby is cured and discharge, they will owe at least 100,000 yuan to Bao’an District People’s Hospital in Shenzhen. This story has also been verified by the Shenzhen online press office as truth. This story has received an outpouring of comments in favor of the young parents, with many viewers commenting that they would donate money to them, and pleading others to do so as well.
However, where there are good comments, there will also be bad ones. Some users criticized them for selling breast milk instead of finding other means to earn money. Some even describe it as “a vulgar way of asking for help”.
