The school holidays are back again and the time has come for some well-deserved fun for both you and your kids. In honour of the recent release of the new animated reboot of the popular children’s show, Sunway Putra Mall is hosting a Thomas and Friends campaign from the 2nd to 19th of June 2022. Here’s what you need to know about the event.
Introducing the new and improved Thomas and Friends: All Engines Go!, now airing in 2D CGI on Cartoon Network and other popular streaming platforms like Netflix. Chances are your little ones may have already seen an episode or two. Well now they can meet the ‘new’ Thomas and Friends in person.
Thomas & Friends at Sunway Putra Mall
Many activities await you at the All Engines Go, Malaysia event happening at Sunway Putra Mall from now till 19th June. Hitch a train ride, make your own engines and join a storytelling competition. There’s a little bit of everything for everyone. Here are the details of the event:
- Venue: Main Concourse, Ground Floor of Sunway Putra Mall
- Dates: 2nd to 19th June 2022
- Time: 10am – 10pm

All Aboard the ‘Thomas and Friends’ Express
If you’re looking for something to do with your toddler this school holiday, take them for a joy ride on the Knapford Station Train Ride. All you need to do is go on a spending spree at Sunway Putra Mall’s many shopping outlets with a purchasing minimum of RM50 (for ONE ticket). Make sure to keep your receipts and cash them at the Concierge Counter, Ground Floor. Then, head over to the Knapford Station Ticket Counter to get on-board the train ride. This moveable train will be available every day from 2nd June to 19th June according to the following schedule:

Engine Making Workshop
Coax out your child’s inner engineer by enrolling them in the Thomas and Friends Engine Making Workshop. Here, they will learn the joys and importance of recycling and reducing wastage, and have fun doing it! Participants will be provided with recycled material and they even get to take their creations home afterwards. They will also be gifted with Thomas and Friends stickers so they can get to know the new characters a little better. Limited to 10 pax per session.
- Activity: Make engines from recycled material like toilet rolls and tissue boxes
- Date: Every Saturday and Sunday from 2nd – 19th June
- Time: 2:30 p.m. & 5:00 p.m.

Bookmark Workshop
Encourage your child’s inner creativity by enrolling them in this workshop. Participants will be given all the tools and materials to design and create their very own Thomas and Friends themed bookmarks from scratch. After all, we do have plenty of redemption tiers where you can go home with a bunch of new storybooks. Limited to 10 pax per session.
