cash-aid

2023 brings in more good news as all school-going children across Malaysia are now entitled to a cash-aid of RM150.

This is part of the government budget from the Ministry of Education (KPM) to help those in need fare better for the school year.

There’s more good news: you don’t even need to register or apply on any forms!

That’s right.

The cash aid will be funnelled directly to each school en masse and then redistributed to all students.

How Your Child Will Get the Money

The payment will be made by cash or through bank transfer depending on the school.

But if your child has an option make sure they choose the bank transfer option. This ensures the money won’t get stolen or go missing.

This aid will only be given for the 2023/2024 school sessions as per the 2023 Government Budget.

Who is Eligible for the Aid

How Soon Your Child Will Get the Aid

And as soon as schools receive the funds, the cash aid will be distributed to each student.

As of today, the cash-aid should already be distributed to most Malaysian students.

Enjoy the Cash Aid, Kids!

Now that your kids have their cash aid, it’s up to you parents to make sure they use it wisely.

There are no limitations or regulations as to how the money should be spent.

You can, of course, let your child use it solely for educational purposes. Whether that’s paying for the school fees, buying new uniforms, replenishing their stationery or using it as pocket money throughout the year.

But they can also choose to save it for rainy days if they choose or put it in their college fund.
