It is easier as you don’t have to weigh every ingredient but you could still have the fun by doing the mixing and the most fun part is, decorating.

This is the time your children would come with so many ideas. Some might decorate it with their favourite colours, some might want to draw their favourite cartoon or their favourite dinosaur. It surely will trigger their left brain!

3. Create greeting cards

For children that love crafty activities, this is a perfect idea for them. Gather all the crafty tools that you have and ask them to create greeting cards for their grandparents or cousins. Let your children decide on the theme and ask them to write short messages after they finish creating their cards. Help them with words and grammar. Indirectly, this might improve their languages. You might want to ask them to write a short poem if they are big enough to understand it.

This activity might need effort and creativity from parents. However, it is suitable for younger kids that are active and looking for a channel to outlet their energy.

You may start to create indoor obstacles using house items. As an idea, create a telematch by setting a mission to save a teddy bear.

Starts by arranging 4 dining chairs in a row and ask them to move by climbing up and down every chair from one to another.

Next, set another four push pillow in a zigzag and let them jump on it. Enhance their imagination by saying that there is lava on the floor and whoever touches the floor will be out and need to start over.

Finish the telematch with them climbing the sofa and jump on the soft pillow to save the teddy bear. Record the timing and the one who could finish the game the fastest wins the round. You may continue to the next round with other obstacles.

This is a game that is loved by mothers. It’s cleaning time! Ask your children to clean the house together. Let them swipe, mop or wipe. It won’t be perfect or as clean as you do, but they will definitely enjoy it especially when you are doing it together.

To make it interesting, you may ask them to clean the porch together where they could be in charge of the water hose. Beat it, every kid love to play with water! You may ask them to wash the car too and they would say yes in a second. Kids with water are just clicked!

  2. If you manage to secure square one, you may start jumping to all the boxes except for the first square that has your stone. You could only have one foot at a square and will lose your turn if you fail to balance.
  3. Jump until you reach square 10 and turn back (still jumping with one foot) until and pick up your stone when you reach a box before the box of your marker. You may lean down but you still can’t touch the floor with both feet.
