If you don’t have enough shopping experience (well who does?), recently, Taobao just opened its largest physical store in Malaysia! Yes, you read it right! Last 29th of November 2019, Alibaba Group just launched the country’s largest Taobao store, in partnership with MyTOWN Shopping Centre and Lumahgo New Retail Sdn Bhd.
Named as Taobao Store by Lumahgo, the comprehensive 5,000 sq ft outlet is offering seamless and convenient mix of online and offline shopping experience using the New Retail technologies. It is said that Taobao Store by Lumahgo is the closest expression of Alibaba’s New Retail technologies, which blurs the line between online and offline commerce curate a holistic, personalised end-to-end service for each customer.
Shoppers at Taobao store can easily get the displayed products by scanning QR code on the electronic price tag, pick up the items from the store or arrange for delivery, and make a payment directly via the Taobao app. Selected items that are available at the store can be picked up immediately, while the rest can be arranged for delivery across Malaysia.

The Taobao Store by Lumahgo at MyTOWN Shopping Centre will offer more than 1,000 products with locally popular items across top-selling categories in Malaysia, such as mum-and-baby, electronics, beauty, home & living and smart home appliances. This selection of products has been curated based on the preferences and purchasing decisions of local shoppers, as seen through the Taobao shopping app, and drawn from a variety of international and home-grown brands, including Lorenzo, KHIND, KitchenAid and Deep Furniture.
