Gifts galore for everyone.
At the start of the event, in true ‘motherhood’ context, guests sportingly drank milk from baby bottles on stage to participate in the ice-breaker event. Some of course, preferred to drink beer.

Petrina Goh, Founder and CEO of the Nuren Group which runs the Motherhood.com.my content, community and commerce portals, then opened the event with her Welcome Speech.

“Motherhood is a name that stands for the love, values and ideals of motherhood and family,” she said. “This award is an appreciation of the contribution of all the brands and vendors that have put effort, sweat, innovation and quality into their products and services in order to enrich the parental journey ahead. Motherhood would like to this opportunity to thank you and to honour and recognise your product.”

She went on to share the Motherhood journey for the last three years where she said it grew from being an online shopping site for maternity, baby and children’s products and services to a bustling community with content that helps brands to connect and to engage and also address pressing issues and concerns brought up by Motherhood’s mom community.

“I am also pleased to announce our regional presence today. We are in three countries: Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore, reaching out to millions of mums every year.”

In response to the demands of mums, she continued to say that they launched ParentCraft ─ the monthly antenatal class to provide parents with hands-on knowledge on how to prepare and care for their baby.

“Our ParentCraft classes are supported by a team of qualified experts and specialists dedicating their time and effort to make the parenting journey easier. Since its launch in November last year, we have more than 700 participants in our Parentcraft Class,” she revealed, adding that the ParentCraft partner Women Wellness Blueprint would be introduced later in the evening followed by their new partner OrphanCare Foundation, who would be signing an MoU with Motherhood that day.

“Motherhood is not just about business success,” she said, adding that Motherhood believes in giving back to society and to the community. “Partnership with OrphanCare will thus add a new dimension to ParentCraft and add further depth and understanding to the motherhood journey.”
