Potato Milk Craze: Unveiling the Health Facts Behind the Hype

You’ve heard of almond milk and oat milk. You’ve probably even heard of banana milk.

But now the vegan and lactose-free communities are adding another vegetable to that list: Potatoes.

That’s right, if it’s a plant and it’s safe to eat, you can probably milk it.

Proponents of this new plant-based milk are calling it the new almond milk.

Low in calories and high in monounsaturated  fats, potato milk is rich in antioxidants and other nutrients like folic acid and vitamin B12.

Those who’ve tried their hand at making potato milk from scratch says it’s better for soups and smoothies.

But others are saying that with the right adjustments you can make potato milk ‘taste better’.

Like this video where they added dates, vanilla, salt and of course almonds.

But aside from the nutrition, potato milk is also apparently good for the environment, leaving fewer carbon footprints during their cultivation and harvest than almond or others types of plants grown for plant-based milks.

So if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to your usual oat, almond, rice, soy or coconut milk, why not give potato milk a try next? Especially if you’re vegan or lactose intolerant.

So what’s the verdict, mums?

Are you going to try potato milk or is it an absolute no-no?
