Word has been circulating all-around social media the past few days pertaining to the closure of major vaccine distribution centres (PPV) and they definitely ring true.

The Malaysian government reached this decision after certifying that more than 90% of the Malaysian adult population has received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccination.

With over 40 million doses of vaccine given out, more than 60% of the entire Malaysian adult population have since received full doses. This, therefore, gives way for most major vaccination centres to close down, saving costs and enabling frontliners to return to their initial duties at hospitals, clinics, or health offices.

Several major PPVs have also already closed their doors after over 150 days of operation to this date. This includes the Persada Johor International Convention Centre vaccination center, World Trade Centre (previously known as Putra World Trade Centre, or PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur, and the Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC) in Shah Alam.

To mother and housewife M. Visahlani based in Johor, her children’s vaccination location in their MySejahtera has since been updated to null instead of stating the previous location, Persada Johor International Convention Centre. They will therefore have to keep tabs with the application in the weeks to come, to ensure they receive the new location for their next vaccination appointment.

So, if you or your family are waiting for your next dose’s appointment, be extra sure to check your MySejahtera regularly so you won’t miss out on any new changes pertaining to your assigned vaccination location!
