As the new academic year approaches, parents in Malaysia are reminded that it’s time to register their children for Standard 1 for the 2024/2025 intake.
With the convenience of online platforms, parents can now complete the registration process from the comfort of their own homes.
The registration process is mandatory for all children who are Malaysian citizens and born between 2 January 2017, to 1 January 2018, and 2 January 2018 to 1 January 1 2019.
This process is critical for ensuring that students are properly placed in the appropriate schools and can start their academic journey with their peers.
How to Register Your Kids for Standard 1
Parents must make online registration for Standard 1 through the website https://idme.moe.gov.my.
You need to register using your Identification Card number as a user before the registration process.
It’s also important to remember your ID number and password registered in the system for future transactions. Parents can refer to the registration procedures at the following link: https://tinyurl.com/2024tahun1
After online registration for Standard 1, the registration form must be printed and submitted to the school office along with the following supporting documents:
- Registration Form (2 copies)
- Health Service Approval and Immunisation Form with parent’s signature (original)
- Child’s Birth Certificate (original and 1 copy)
- Father’s Identification Card/Passport (original and 1 copy)
- Mother’s Identification Card/Passport (original and 1 copy)
- Marriage/Divorce Certificate, if applicable (original and 1 copy)
- Court Order/Custody Letter, if applicable (original and 1 copy)
- Latest Utility Bill/Electricity Bill (original or 1 copy)
- Rental Agreement, if applicable (1 copy)
- Child’s Immunisation Record with Injection Dates (1 copy)
- Health Documents/OKU Information, if applicable (original and 1 copy)
Here are the instructions you need to access your account so you can register your children for primary 1 for the 2024/2025 academic session.
Sign-Up for New Users
Follow these directions if you are currently not signed up on this platform.
- Click on ‘Daftar Baru’ for users who do not have an account.
- Please fill in all the information in the provided fields. Information marked with an asterisk (*) is mandatory to be filled in.
- Tick the checkbox and enter the captcha code in the field provided.
- Click on the ‘Daftar’ button to submit the user’s information, or click on the ‘Reset’ button to reset the user’s information.
Note: Successfully registered users need to check their email to get their default password, then log in to the system using the default password provided, and change the password to a new one.
Log-In for Current Users
If you already have an account, simply log-in using these steps.
- Go to https://idme.moe.gov.my/
- Enter User ID.
- Click the ‘Daftar Masuk’ button.
- Click the checkbox and enter the password in the provided field.
- Click the ‘Daftar Masuk’ button.
- For users who do not have an account, click on ‘Daftar Baru’ – Refer to previous subheading.
For Forgotten Password
If you’re a registered user but have forgotten your password, here’s to retrieve access to your account.
- Click ‘Lupa Kata Laluan’ if you forgot your password.
- Enter a valid email address in the provided field.
- Enter the captcha in the provided field and click the ‘Hantar Tatapan’ button.
- Check your email for the password reset confirmation. Click on the ‘Penetapan Semula Kata Laluan Akaun Pengguna’ button provided in the email.
- Enter email information, identification card number. Then create your new password and confirm it in the following field.
- Enter the written captcha in the provided field and click on the ‘Menetapkan Semula Kata Laluan’ button to complete the reset.
How to Register

Here is the summary of what you need to do:
- Go to https://idme.moe.gov.my/.
- Click on ‘Aplikasi’ on the left side of the webpage.
- Click on ‘Pengurusan Awam’. On the left side of the page, you will find ‘Pengurusan Profil’. Click on this.
- Now complete the fields for each of the drop down options: ‘Maklumat Peribadi’, ‘Maklumat Pasangan’ and ‘Maklumat Anak Jagaan’.
- Click on ‘Permohonan’ on the dashboard, and then on the ‘Rendah Tahap 1’ link (blue text).
- You will be redirected to another tab ‘Permohonan Tahun Satu KPM’.
- In the list below, on the bottom right click on ‘Mohon’.
- Fill in all the required details.
- Click ‘Seterusnya’ and then click on ‘Cetak Permohonan’. Print two copies for the final registration.
- Wait for the results and the name of your child’s new school will be given. This is where you must go with the required documents as mentioned in the first subheading ‘How to Register your Kids for Standard 1’.
