As a parent with the little one, I myself cannot remember the last time I went to the cinema. I don’t want to bring my kids along as we don’t want to cause any inconveniences to the other patrons. Not to mention, the high volume of a movie could bring harm to the children. But thanks to this new TGV Family Friendly Hall, now I can stay up-to-date with new movies at the cinemas without worries!

Back in 2015, TGV Cinemas introduced the first child-friendly movie sessions, with the theme “Family Friendly”. TGV now sets foot at Central i-city Shah Alam and introduced the first of its kind Family Friendly Hall; bringing the child-friendly experience to a whole new level.
The new hall comes with an adjoining playroom where your kids can jump around, and play prior to movie screening! Let your kids roam free (and safe) as the playroom is equipped with padded flooring and a variety of fun activities.
Before proceed to watch the movie, you can let your kids enhance their imagination at the unique Scan & Play setup. Let them create any artwork, scan it, and see how it comes to life! This playroom also has a dedicated child-friendly toilet where parents can easily change your baby’s diapers in a clean and safe environment.
“As a mother, I understand the challenges of bringing your kids to a movie. You feel bad whenever kids are distracting other customers during the film screenings. Hence, we came up with this concept to cater for families with kids, with the goal of making a family movie outing possible.” said Yen Ong, Head of Brand & Communications.
TGV Family-Friendly halls also serve to provide a comfortable experience for families. The halls are brighter and lowered in volume to accommodate the kids’ sensitive ears. There are four different types of seats specially set up for parents to choose from:
+ LOUNGER +
Lounger is a uniquely-shaped seat located at the last row. It is perfectly designed to fit one small family – 2 adults and 2 kids.
+ DELUXE +
This brand new seating is comfortable enough for both the parents and the kids. It is equipped with plush padding to add extra comfort while you enjoy the movie.
+ DORY +
As the name goes, Dory’s seats are covered in a lovely shade of baby blue, just like Dory the little fish! Compared to the adult’s seats, Dory is smaller in size, which makes it perfect for children below the age of 12.
+ ALADDIN +
Feels more like at home when your child sits on Aladdin’s seats. This seat is designed in a reclined seating position and a lengthened lower-body, as well as leg rest section where our kids can lie down comfortably while enjoying their movie.
