De Antique is a Bukit Mertajam cafe that has attracted lots of attention. This is mainly due to its rustic and aesthetically appealing design, starting with its zinc and wooden exterior. If you enter the café, you’ll also find a pebble laden courtyard that’s reminiscent of ancient Chinese homes, unpolished yet wonderfully calming and familiar.

They serve handcrafted coffee, freshly brewed upon order. You won’t be able to find full meals, but they do serve a wide selection of cakes and pastries daily. Many people have raved about their watermelon cake, made with large chunks of juicy watermelon sandwiched between layers of fluffy sponge.
