Chinese Muslim restaurant locations can be found all over the Klang Valley. In addition to offering Halal versions of local Chinese favourites, some of them also offer Xinjiang cuisine. The Xinjiang autonomous region in China has a largely Muslim population. Therefore, their food is distinctly different from other parts of China.

We’ve listed some of the best Chinese Muslim restaurants in the Klang Valley. Some of the are chain restaurants with several branches. Meanwhile, others feature the unique dishes of Xinjiang.

If you’re dining in a big group, you can order from an extensive menu that features fish, chicken, beef, squid and more to eat with rice. These include claypot tofu, salted egg pumpkin and Siakap sambal petai.

Muhammad Onn offers a casual dining experience that’s suitable for the whole family in TTDI. The semi-open-air restaurant has limited space, so do make a booking if you’re coming in a large group.

As with most Chinese Tai Chow restaurants, you can order dishes with rice. Diners have praised their curry vegetables, Nyonya fish, butter floss prawns and Kung Po chicken.

Another rare dish that’s quite unique here is the Chicken Lobak and Tofu. Lobak is common appetiser among Malaysian Chinese in Northern states, and finding a halal version is rare.
