I even grow them in my kitchen, as these spinach grows easily in bright and airy areas.

Benefits of Spinach

Spinach is an excellent source of nutrients and antioxidants in a low-calorie package. Dark, leafy greens like spinach are loaded with vitamin K, vitamin A, vitamin C and folate.

It is also a good source of manganese, magnesium, iron and vitamin B2. These nutrients are important for the health of our skin, hair, eyes and bones.

There are a lot of ways to cook spinach. It is delicious on its own or in other dishes. We can stir-fry it, add it into soups, bake with cheese and lots more. Spinach is undoubtedly one of the most nutritious and versatile vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Brazilian Spinach
  • Multi-purpose seasoning flour
  • Egg white
  • Oil to fry

Instructions

  • Wash the spinach leaves and pat dry the paper towel.
  • Break an egg in a bowl.
  • Separate the egg white from the egg yolk. We only use egg white for this, as egg yolk takes away the crunchiness.
  • In a bowl, pour the multi-purpose seasoning flour.
  • Heat oil in a wok.
  • Dip spinach in egg white, then coat thoroughly with multi-purpose seasoning flour. This double-dipping makes the spinach chips crisp.
  • Fry spinach in hot oil for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Refrain from overcrowding the wok with spinach.
  • Remove the fried spinach from the wok, transfer it to a paper towel sheet to absorb excess oil.
