Dr Nur Adila Zawawi Finds Her Muse in Feathering Her Nest

Dr Nur Adila Zawawi’s life has changed tremendously in the past couple of years since she became an influencer. She devoted her life as a medical officer in Selangor, got married to her husband Muhammad Syahin on 4 March 2016 and has a three year-old daughter named Alisa Saffiya.

Even though her days are filled with vital tasks serving the public as a medical officer, these days she also practices on becoming a great influencer. Having worked with some of the biggest brands through Motherhood.com.my as well as its Ibuencer platform, there’s something about her posts that caught viewers attention.

Her photos and videos posted on Instagram are relatable. They speak volumes on moments of clarity as a working mum and a dedicated wife. Needless to say, in less than a year, her number of followers rapidly ascended to more than 10,000. That’s quite an impact and pretty awesome for an Ibuencer.

Another topic she frequently shares on her social media account is her fondness to elevate creativity by decorating her home, combining both minimalist and brighter features. Her home looks perfect for working mums, as she creates a space where mummies would love to live in.

Her family moved into this beautifully decorated home more than a year ago. It was her greatest joy, yet it was also a time of uncertainty as the pandemic happened. It started with a dream because she didn’t plan to decorate nor renovate her house. She planned to go on vacations with her family of three but because of the pandemic, having the perfect home became a reality as a ‘getaway’ for her.

We were told that she didn’t hire an interior designer to create this magnificent home. Instead, she took matters into her own hands by doing it herself. A total of four affordable contractors were brought in to transform her home into a thoughtfully designed and imaginative space.

Bold colours and offbeat designs were excluded. Dr Nur Adila Zawawi used incredibly soft and bright colours into the walls of her kitchen and corners, as well as most parts of her home, including the rooms. The breathable bright colours of her kitchen will envy you into silence, and other parts of her home will put you in a calming mood. Downright cosy!

Why Having a Beautifully Decorated and Ideal Home Is Important

According to Dr. Nur Adila Zawawi:

  1. It is very important, especially when returning home from work after a long day. You will be so relieved to see this beautiful and clean home, all of your stresses from work will be gone in a matter of seconds.
  2. Believe it or not, having a good home is the key to your happiness too! Your child’s happiness will flourish by itself when you and your spouse are happy.
  3. Keeping a tidy and beautiful home is for the comfort of your children. It is also to ease you and your whole family if there are guests coming over. I remember the time when I was still living with my parents. When the holidays are around the corner, I feel like going for a vacation. Or staycation, just for the sake of wanting a new environment to feel inspired. But once I have a beautifully decorated home, I already feel like I’m on a holiday. So when I’m not working, I feel like staying at home.
  4. Elegance makes everything better and timeless. I feel so calm and fully inspired when I look at nice things, but they don’t have to be expensive. If you know how to mix and match, elegance comes to you affordably.
  5. Home is where the heart (and happiness!) lies. I keep telling myself that. If you want a better life, it starts within your home especially in challenging times like now.

Five Tips to Maintain a Beautiful Home While Busy Working According to Dr. Nur Adila Zawawi:

  1. Make it a bedtime routine to clean as well as tidying up the kitchen and living room.
  2. Ask your spouse to help. This is the main key, so that if you are feeling tired or unwell, your spouse can assist you.
  3. Use limited and selected parts of your home. Try to make the most of your daily routines in your kitchen, the living room and kid’s room (for them to play). This means, there are three parts of the house that you need to pay attention to when cleaning up or looking after. No extra work is required in other parts of the house.
  4. Minimise your furniture and accessories! The more furniture you ‘pile up’ in your home, the more cleaning needs to be done. If you have less decorations, even better. It means less dusting is required. Just include what is necessary and start from there before you decide to add more items or decorations to your home.
  5. Spring cleaning on the weekend. Make it a fun activity for you and your whole family. Also, please get the affordable robotic vacuum cleaner to do its work on a daily basis.
