5 Easy and Simple Home Decor Ideas That You Can Try!

1) #GoGreen With Indoor Plant

There is a houseplant for you here. No matter your skill level, your taste, or how much room you have to spare.

Your fantasies of paradise in your indoor garden are about to become true. Also, it is relatively easy to keep most of these plants alive!

The living room is one of the perfect spots to decorate with indoor plants.  It creates a natural atmosphere and most importantly, you can teach your children about the importance of taking care of plants.

Indoor plants also benefit your mental health and overall well-being. I tried this at my house and my children loved it! I would suggest you to put it besides the television if you have one.

However, you can decorate and place them wherever you prefer. Don’t limit yourself and get creative mummies!

2) Rearrange Furniture

Let’s be real, mums. It can be a difficult job to arrange the furniture!

Ugh, filling it in a way that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing can seem like a daunting challenge when you are faced with the same looking room for years.

But, once you get the hang of it, it will be a game-changer for your house. These tips will give your home a brand new look!

Yes, you can move around the furniture to a different angle but make sure you don’t get it all over the place!

One of my friends who is an interior designer suggested that we should always plan the layout of your home to have a focal point.

For example, your focal point could be the television, the main wall or even the window. The most important part is to make sure that it is comfortable and not cramped!

3) Add a Comfy Rug

Meet my best friend – the rug. What is a home without a rug? Everyone loves them because it is comfy and looks good on the floor.

I bet every mum have their favourite rugs too! Well, you might be bored with your boring floor or tiles. It is time to change the mood with some comfy rugs!

The most crucial part is to make sure that the theme and the colour of your rugs fit the whole house. When I started to decorate my house with rugs, I tend to go overboard and pick the wrong colours.

So, Mummies, you have to make sure that your rugs fit the theme and pick the right size. Don’t want it to be too small for your space, or else it would look really awkward.

4) Make a Photo Gallery Wall

We all love a photo gallery wall and it is not difficult to see why! They are an excellent way to infuse space with colour and pattern.

Home is not a home when there are no pictures of your family or artwork by them. Photo gallery completes the home as a whole and this is such an important part in making your home looks more stylish.

Start with your favourite images such as family photos, sketches, or art to create a great gallery wall, and then start adding things you love such as postcards from favourite holidays, posters and many more.

Wall gallery is a personal aspect in every home, so make sure that you enjoy the process. To make it more exciting, ask your children and husband to join you.

5) DIY Wall Plate!

Do you have those unused vintage plates and a blank wall? If yes, this is for you! Decorating the house is easy because you will mostly use the items that you already have.

Even if your plates are antique and inherited from your grandmother, walls with plates will look very chic and modern.

But if you are going to hang plates on a wall and you can’t find antique plates, you can make them yourself. You can decorate your wall with different kind of plates and choose varieties of colours with your kids! They will surely help, but make sure they are careful with it!

Final Note on Decorating Your Home:

Go big or go home? Naaah, don’t go big, trust me on that. Decorating your home should be really simple and quick so don’t stressed about it, just enjoy the process.

It will be such a lovely experience with your children and your partner together! “Apa yang penting? Kerjasama!” It is all about working and having fun together in achieving your brand new home for 2021.
