Healthy Aglio Olio Spaghetti Recipe

Ever thought of cooking a simple lunch or dinner dish for your beloved family? Well, an easy pasta meal is definitely for you!

When it comes to cooking, I always pick a quick, simple and really easy pasta recipe!

So, what do I actually cook exactly? To be honest with you, it’s always my one and only Aglio Olio spaghetti!

I love it, my husband loves it, and most importantly, my kids love it.

As the name suggests, the pasta is made with garlic (aglio) and oil (olio). The recipe originated from Naples and it’s very popular worldwide.

Talking about garlic, do you know that garlic brings us many benefits for our bodies?

Garlic health benefits includes:

  • It contains compounds with potent medicinal properties
  • Garlic is highly nutritious but has very few calories
  • Garlic can combat sickness, including the common cold
  • The active compounds in garlic can reduce blood pressure
  • Garlic improves cholesterol levels, which may lower the risk of heart disease

The two key ingredients are olive oil and garlic. Aglio e olio spaghetti is also speckled with red pepper flakes, which gives the recipe a subtle heat.

The oil, garlic and heat transform this simple pasta dish into a delicious and restaurant-quality meal that you can make at home! Of course, with a bit of a Malaysian twist. We just love our Malaysian tongues. Am I right, mummies?
