Influencer mums do not have it easy. As we all know, it’s never easy juggling a full-time job and a family life as a mother. Being an influencer who works on social media, however, has also become a job for some mothers.

It’s never easy to be an influencer mum because you have to prepare your content daily. Sometimes, you would also have to attend events throughout the week. All these may affect your family time.

Because of the separated commitment between work and home, becoming a full-time working influencer mum will cause guilt and stress.

The key is to keep to a timetable, be prepared, and strike the right balance between work and parenting. Here are five strategies for ensuring that both your job and your family thrives!

5 Tips For Influencer Mums On Managing Time Between Job And Family

1) Leave The Guilt Behind

When mothers want to work full-time, they are often judged for “abandoning” their children, while fathers are expected to go to work to “provide” for the family. Why is it that this sexist stereotype persists in our seemingly modern society?

Concentrate on the good aspects of your job that benefits your family. Make sure that you’re making the right decision for your whole family, including yourself, and that your child can sense the strength of your affection and respect your sacrifice.

2) Reduce Time Wasters And Distractions

Time is precious! Whenever you’re working outside for any events, make sure that you manage your time wisely. As an influencer mum, you’re there to work. So, you have to limit your socialising.

Once you’re done with your job, make sure you have enough time to go back and have dinner with your family.

Also, focus on your husband and your children instead of your phone or the television while you’re at home to guarantee that your time together is enjoyable and deliberate!

3) Create A Family Calendar And Keep It Up To Date

Determine the priorities of your family. A calendar can contain due dates for bills, a schedule of school and family functions, extracurricular sports, birthdays, and other details.

Personally, I would recommend using Google calendars, which can be quickly exchanged and synced on smartphones!

You can also set your boundaries on the day you would have a break from all of your influencer jobs. Maybe there should be a few days that you can plan a staycation with your little family!

4) Keep In Touch While Working

When you’re not together, keep in touch with your children. Try filming yourself talking or singing on camera. Or if you have a toddler, recording your voice reading along to a children’s book!

You can also call your kids and husband during your work breaks. Sometimes our family would have a bad day and the only way to get through a difficult day, is to let them know you care. It always helps to pay attention to their feelings. So, a phone call would be great!

5) Reconnect With Your Husband

A happy relationship is the foundation of a happy family. Prioritise your marriage or partnership and it would have a huge effect on everything else.

If at all possible, schedule childcare and go out on daily date nights. Do stuff you both loved before becoming parents. Plan something different from your regular meal, such as a painting date or a quiz night.

Plus, you should have an open and frank conversation with your partner about something that isn’t related to work or children. And remember to really listen to what they have to say when you do.
