At the edges of Kuala Lumpur lies Pandan Indah, a suburb that’s known to be the home of light industries and  housing developments.

There are many eateries in Pandan Indah that cater to the locals.

These calm and peaceful Pandan Indah cafes are part of those eateries too.

They’re great for finding some respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Here’s our favourite Pandan Indah cafes that you must try.

Googoo Gaagaa Coffee

Their bold red theme is probably what catches your eyes first.

However, walking into Googoo Gaagaa coffee will give you a clearer picture of what they offer: a cosy, organic interior that hides a private sitting area at the back.

Moreover, art lovers will appreciate the fact that there are many Avant Garde pieces dotted throughout the cafe, including sculptures and paintings.

Despite not having a very extensive menu, they excel at what they offer.

They’re known for their sandwiches, especially their Signature Shrimp Sandwich and Grilled  Chicken Quesadillas.

For coffee lovers, you should try their Cappuccino and Caramel Latte.

This Muslim-run halal café is where you can go in Pandan Indah for local food and baked goods.

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a brick fronted façade. The interior is relaxed and casual, with plenty of space and seating.

They’re most well known for their local noodles, like Laksa Johor, Bihun Soto and Soto Nasi Impit.

As for dessert, you can enjoy one of their delectable cinnamon rolls that come in a variety of flavours, including Salted Caramel and Pandan Gula Melaka.

Many visitors also rave about their lempeng. These traditional pancakes are not easy to find in the Klang Valley, so this is the perfect opportunity to try some.

Heartbeans Coffee

Rather than being ostentatious and showy, Heartbeans actually strives to do the exact opposite.

It is a local café that tugs at the more nostalgic side of KL.

The interior is simple, homey and inviting, with lots of wooden and lightweight furnishings.

They serve mainly Western food, including mains and pastas.

For example, some of the popular choices here include the Carbonara Fettucine and Bolognese Spaghetti which you can have with a choice of Pollock fish, smokes duck or chicken chop among others.

When it come to drinks, their selection of mixed flower teas are quite good.

For the health conscious, try their Lemongrass Roselle Stevia tea . Of course, you can find good coffee here too.

Imagine your local kopitiam, but given a modern and updated makeover.

In this enclosed and fully air-conditioned café, you’ll find all your kopitiam favourites.

The only difference is that you’ll be dining in comfort, with cushy cubicles or wall seats available for all.

Some of the most popular menu items here include their Dim Sum and soupy noodles. One of their bestsellers is the Mala Signature Rice Noodle Soup.

Patrons also love the Nasi Lemak here, which you can have plain or with curry chicken or fried chicken.

Of course, you can’t say this place is inspired by a kopitiam if they don’t have kaya butter toasts and awesome coffee brewed in the traditional style.
