Whenever someone mentions Puchong, the first thought that comes to mind would be a busy suburb that’s often crowded. Puchong is a pretty self-contained place.

There are hospitals, clinics, grocery stores, hypermarkets, schools and pretty much everything one needs within a reachable distance. Of course, this also means that Puchong has plenty of good restaurants too.

If you’re seeking a good Puchong restaurant, here are our recommendations.

Bumbu Bali

It may seem strange that the first Puchong restaurant on our list is a Balinese one. However, Bumbu Bali has definitely earned its place here. In addition to authentic and delicious Balinese cuisine, this restaurant is also known for its warm hospitality and beautiful interior. Indeed, many actually visit for organic decorations that are filled with various Balinese carvings and craft.

For first-timers, you want to make sure you sample everything, so their Nasi Campur is an ideal dish to order. It comes with grilled lemongrass prawn, squid, fish, beef or chicken rending and sate lilit, with turmeric rice and several other condiments.

Mimi Nguyen’s is a fun restaurant with a rustic feel, very much reminiscent of old Vietnam. As the name suggests, you can expect a wide variety of Vietnamese cuisine here, a majority of which are non-spicy and child-friendly.

Kids will love the Banh Mi sandwiches, which are healthy and balanced too. These toasted baguettes can be filled with any filling of your choice, including roasted pork, ham, chicken liver pate, and minced beef.

Additionally, there are lots of interesting dishes for sharing. One of these is the Banh Xeo, a crepe that’s filled with minced meat and mung bean. Traditionally, you peel off bits of the crepe and wrap it in some fresh leaves for a crunchy yet healthy mouthful.
