Lepau is a restaurant in Kuching selling Dayak and Orang Ulu food, and therefore a great place to visit if you want a taste of ethnic Sarawakian dishes.

Here, visitors usually order rice and dishes, making it perfect for family meals.

The rice here is steamed Bario rice, served in a leaf wrapping, which is something you don’t often see.

Some of the most popular dishes to accompany your rice here include Ayam Pansuh, which is chicken cooked in the hollow part of bamboo.

There’s also Kacangma chicken cooked with Sarawak Ginger and Umai, a raw fish salad.

Bla Bla Bla happens to be one of the most highly recommended eateries in Kuching.

They serve Chinese fusion dishes, and visitors rave about their food. Additionally, some of their menu highlights are their Mango Duck and Cashewnut Prawns.

This is also a good place for you to try Midin or Sarawakian Fern shoots.

Here, Midin can be served stir fried with Shrimp Paste, Garlic or Red Wine. Alternatively, you can have it as a salad too.

The restaurant is decorated in a Balinese theme, which makes it great for family photos and for your children to explore.

There’s even a pond on site with stone steps that’s exquisitely beautiful.

Feast & Furious is a cars and bikes themed restaurant that’s great for couples and families.

Racing bikes, helmets, and even entire cars can be found all over the restaurant. The many decorations here will keep your children entertained throughout.

The Sarawak Laksa here comes highly recommended, as is the Cantonese Kway Teow.

Visitors have said that you shouldn’t order too much as the portions are pretty generous.
