Why Mothers Are So Important To Us

mothers

We may not notice it but no matter how much we’ve grown, we will still be babies in our mother’s eyes. We also may not notice this but our mothers are often the first person we go to whenever we’re in need of comfort or advice. Fathers are important too but if your mother is a housewife then you would undoubtedly feel closer to her due to the amount of time spent together. Today, let us discuss the importance of our mothers to us.

1. Where would we be without our mothers?

If it weren’t for our mothers, would we still be breathing today? If nothing else, we should at least thank her for this. Our mothers have made so many sacrifices the moment they had us. Mothers have to give up their freedom, beauty and sometimes even career when they give birth to us. I watched as my own mother give up the opportunities to do what she wanted, lost her once fit body after having me as well as quitting her job in order to take care of me.

2. Mothers always put us before themselves.

Have you ever considered how much your mother probably wanted the last french fry or the last slice of cake but she let you have it instead? That’s how selfless mothers can be. I know my mum would give up anything if it made me happy. Seeing their children happy can be one of the biggest accomplishments for a mother.

When anyone at home is sick, our mothers are the ones who would watch over us. But when our mothers are the ones being sick, she may still have to endure it while taking care of our daily needs. I know my mum would still cook our meals even when she isn’t feeling too well because she would always put her family first.

3. Mothers are the backbones of the family.

Our fathers may be the ones who earn money for the family, but our homes would be a mess without the presence of a mother. Mothers take care of everything at home while fathers are out there working to help sustain the family’s living condition. If she doesn’t work, she stays at home to cook, clean and do everything for us like taking us to and from school, checking on how we deal with our studies and more.

4. They are the most forgiving people in the world.

You may have made her angry with something you did but she would still care for you despite that. I know that even after pissing my mum off, she would still call me for dinner and remind me to not leave behind any essentials when I’m going out. Even if she is really angry, it would only be a matter of time before she starts talking to me again because she cares too much to be mad for too long.

5. Mothers are very attentive when it comes to her family.

Even if the whole world forgets your birthday, you know she’ll always be the one to remember. Most of us don’t remember what it was like when we were babies but you can count on your mother to remember every precious moment she had with us from the moment we came out of her womb. She would also be the first one to notice when something is wrong and makes sure that she is by our side as we solve our problems.
