Blanched banana leaves
Instructions
WRAP
Blanch clean banana leaves for several minutes.
The leaves are ready when you can bend them without breaking.
Cut into desired size and set aside.
BATTER
Peel the banana skin.
Mash the bananas.
We need 3 cups of mashed bananas.
Add 1/2 cup sugar.
Add a pinch of salt.
Mix well.
Add 1 cup of plain flour.
Mix well.
FILLING
To make the filling, add a little salt into the grated coconut and mix.
CONSTRUCTING THE LEPAT PISANG
Scoop 1 tablespoon of batter onto a piece of banana leaf.
Add a little grated coconut as filling and cover with another scoop of banana batter.
Fold the banana leaf to wrap.
Steam for 20 minutes.
