Blanch the chicken to remove the blood and impurities inside the chicken muscles.
Peel and de-seed the green papaya, and cut into pieces. Remove ginkgo nut shells and rinse it thoroughly. Set aside.
Add green papaya, ginkgo, chicken, wolfberry and ginger slices into a cooking pot. Then, add water until it fully submerges the ingredients in the pot and bring it to boil. Close the lid, turn the heat down to low.
Let it simmer for 1 hour, season it with salt before serving.
