Use a Baby Swing Safely
While it can be tempting to always put baby into the swing whenever they fuss, try and vary different soothing techniques so that baby doesn’t over rely on the swing. Spending long periods in a swing can also cause flat head, so remember to alternate with some tummy time to also help baby workout their other muscles.
Lastly, do remember that baby swings are not made for sleep. So, do ensure that you transfer baby onto a flat surface if your baby falls asleep in the swing. This is as their neck is not strong enough yet to sleep in a semi-upright position; they may slump over in the swing while sleeping.
