The chef stated that he was surprised that he managed to make his steamed chicken yellow as it normally comes with white skin.

The chef revealed his secret that he put some mixture of turmeric powder and water on the 700 gram of chicken.

Ingredients

  • 700 gram chicken
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 500 ml water
  • Some scallions sliced
  • Some ginger sliced

Instructions

  • You may start to start your 700 gramof chicken in about teaspoon of turmeric powder to about 500ml of water. Soak it for about 10 minutes.
  • Then, you may evenly rub salt into the chicken and stuff the cavity with some scallion and a ton of ginger.
  • Steam the chicken for about 25 minutes. You may cook it longer for about 5 mins if you don't like it bloody. Then, let it rest for about 15 minutes.

Notes

Tips: Do not put too much of the turmeric powder on the chicken as the aroma can be too strong to handle.
