I believe that one of the many things that expecting mothers would wish for is to have a ‘pregnancy kit’ that can help to relieve your morning sickness, keep you hydrated, and help you get some bedtime (yes, pleeeease!) throughout that ‘crazy’ nine months.

You would want to get some things on hand for your own pregnancy survival before you even think about getting your baby items.

Pregnancy is no doubt, one of the wonderful things that ever happen to a woman. But let’s be honest – it is challenging, tough and quite nerve-wracking.

Even though we have all the books and talks about pregnancy, some things are just too hard to deal with when you ar experiencing it.

As for the pregnancy survival kit, I am not talking about such books and whatnot, but more about the gadgets and items that can be used by expecting mothers, to ease their pregnancy.

Trust me, these items will help your pregnancy tremendously!

Gadgets and Items That Can Get You Through Your Pregnancy!

1) Pregnancy Journal

When I got pregnant, my mum showed me her old-school pregnancy diary that listed all of her experiences during her pregnancy. So, I must have it too!

A pregnancy journal is an item that every mother should have because it allows you to record all those bittersweet journeys and memories during your pregnancy.

You can get yourself a Milestones Pregnancy Cards which works like a journal.

Also, I would highly suggest you to have a journal application in your phone so that it is easily accessible and you can bring it anywhere!

This journal app will help you track down your mental and physical health too. It is very important for mummies to be healthy inside and out! Here are some applications on your phone that you can download: Hello Belly, Baby2Body, Glow Nurture and Ovia.

2) Get Comfy With Pregnancy Pillow

You may have a rough time sleeping with everything going on in your body. There was this one time, I can’t even sleep well like I normally would!

Listen, once you get yourself a pregnancy pillow, it is over. You will feel like you have won in life! It is super-duper comfy and you just want to sleep forever!

These maternity pillows help you to sleep well and no more waking up in the middle of the night. Do you know that during the third trimester, Doctors recommend that you sleep on your left side to help the blood flow to you and your baby?

So, invest yourself for a C-shaped pregnancy pillow that can help ease your night time, Mummies! If you are still in doubt, here are the reasons why you (really) need to consider a pregnancy pillow

3) Bracelets That Can Relief Nausea!

A crazy coaster with nausea and motion sickness could be in the first trimester, and it gets so bad. A friend of mine uses this bracelet at night and in the morning because it helped her fall asleep with no discomfort (yes, nighttime sickness is possible, too!).

To reduce nausea, the bracelet works as a drug-free and chemical-free, focusing on pressure points. Plus, they are instantly washable and come with a travel case and that is surely convenient. You can bring the bracelets anywhere.

4) Earphone For Your Belly

Do you know that study has found that babies can actually remember music played in the womb for up to a year after birth? Yes, and that is true!

Isn’t it amazing that you can listen to music with your baby? This device allows you to enjoy music together with your baby without interrupting the person beside you.

Also, this earphone has rings that can attach to your belly, an adaptor that links mum to the same music, and provides a maximum sound “fixed-safe” that does not blast the child. Pssst…the plus point is that they work well under clothes!

5) Support Belt

Does any mum realise that the back pain is real by the seventh month? If you suffer from bad and horrifying back pain, this is your lifesaver Mummies!

I wished that someone could have told me earlier that a pregnancy support belt existed.

A pregnancy belt is adjustable, constructed from fabrics that are supportive and stretchable. You will have comfort and painless pregnancy days when you are wearing this miracle item. Trust me, no more bad back pain days.

6) Goodbye Stretch Marks!

I honestly agree that stretch marks are hereditary. Either you have them or you don’t.  But either way, all the stretching leaves you itchy and insecure about yourself, so it is never a bad thing to have a great pregnancy-safe lotion or cream on hand!

A little goes a long way to keeping your skin hydrated and the smell is not overwhelming for your pregnant nose. I enjoy Palmer’s Pregnancy Care for myself and would always recommend it for other pregnant mums. Their oils and creams are soothing and hydrating which helps to give moisture!

7) Comfy Bras All The Way

Our breast gets swollen and bigger during pregnancy. Of course, our normal bras don’t fit well and most importantly, we will feel so UNCOMFORTABLE. So, what do you need? A maternity bra would be the best choice.

It has no underwire, (thank God!) soft material, provides reliable support, adjustable, and fit for all three trimesters

Don’t Hold Back, Pamper Yourself!

Hopefully, all of the gadgets and items I have included will give you benefit throughout your pregnancy journey. We all need a little help from another sister! Grab one of the items and surely your pregnancy will become less a hustle.

Despite you being excited about your baby’s arrival, make sure that you put yourself first above anything else. Your comfort, health and joy remain the number one priority!
