Basil leaves

Basil leaves or also known as tulsi leaves contain a natural antibiotic in them. Boil 20 basil leaves in a litre of water and add half spoon of powdered clove to it. Boil them together until the 1 litre liquid turns into half litre liquid. For your extra information, basil leaves have been used for fighting viral fever as they act as additional anti-bacterial and fungicidal in nature. Warm bath

A warm bath for your child could help soothe his fever. Their body temperature will be regulated by having a warm bath. Never bath your child with cold water as it triggers shivering and may raise the temperature further. So for the best and fastest way of reducing your child’s fever, use warm water because it helps evaporate water from the body and at the same time, lower the body temperature.

Feed your little one regularly

A feverish body requires more vitamins, calcium, sodium, and iron to fight the fever. During this time, provide your child with more high-calorie, high-protein, low-fat and high-fluid food. Make sure that the food is easily digested. Your child needs to be fed every two hours when the fever is at a very high temperature. You may decrease the feeding time when the fever gets lower.

Avoid spicy, oily and fibrous as it is not easy to digest. A light soup, porridge, baked fish, and fruits will help well.

Fever in a child is a normal thing, so do not panic yourself over it. Follow these simple and easy tips at home before the fever gets worst. Treat your child first if it is still manageable. Don’t forget to go and see the doctor if the fever gets worse over time.
