Egg Mayo Sandwich

Unsurprisingly, kids are often eager to try making one of these delicious meals! With this super simple recipe for an egg mayo sandwich, even young chefs can easily create a kid-friendly masterpiece.

To make an egg mayo sandwich, crack two eggs into a bowl and whisk them together with a fork until they are smooth.

Then, spread some mayonnaise on both sides of your favourite bread—white or whole wheat toast!

Top one slice with grated cheese and pour the beaten eggs onto the other slice before covering it with the cheese side facing outwards.

Finally, pop it into a preheated skillet over medium heat and cook until golden brown on each side.

Ingredients

  • Shredded cooked chicken
  • Grated cheese (mix of cheddar and mozzarella)
  • Wrap bread or tortilla
  • Butter or margarine
  • Add some seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  • Spread the softened butter over one side of the tortilla. On top of that layer, the shredded chicken is followed by the grated cheese.
  • Fold up two opposite sides of the wrap towards each other, then flip it over before rolling it up tightly.
  • Toast until golden brown in a skillet or oven for about two to three minutes and shut the heat off.
  • Cover the tortilla with cling foil for a few minutes before serving (for the cheese to melt perfectly).

Notes

Of course, you may add some chicken seasoning if your children are picky eaters. You also have to leave the tortilla on the pan longer if you kept it in the fridge.

Steam Rice with Soup

We’ve all heard that kids are picky eaters and don’t usually like to try new foods, but what if there was an easy way to make them love cooking and eating simultaneously?

Well, it’s true!

Steam rice with soup is one of the easiest recipes for kids. It requires minimal ingredients, little preparation, and no fancy equipment.

Plus, you can add whatever flavours or vegetables your child likes best—making it a perfect dish for any kid who wants to be a chef in their kitchen.

Making steamed rice with soup isn’t hard; combine cooked rice with vegetable broth, seasonings (whatever you have), and any veggies your kids enjoy. Heat everything together until the soup is hot, then let it simmer for about 20 minutes.

This quick recipe makes enough food for several servings so everyone can get full without moving away from their plate too quickly!

Your kids will love this simple yet delicious meal—plus, it gives them a chance to practice their culinary skills while having fun.

Side note: Try different types of soup, such as chicken soup, old cucumber or white radish soup, to give some varieties throughout the week!

Macaroni with Soup

Making macaroni with soup is easy and fun to get kids involved with cooking. It’s a simple dish that can be prepared in no time.

I boil the macaroni until it’s al dente, then drain the excess water. Next, I add the soup of my choice—usually chicken or beef broth-based—into the pot. Lastly, I stir in some shredded cheese for added flavour and texture.

The best part about this recipe is that you can customise it however you want; feel free to add any extra ingredients, like diced vegetables or herbs, to make it more interesting.

Plus, there are plenty of options for choosing your favourite type of cheese!

The final result is delicious and highly nutritious—perfect for those busy days when you don’t have much time to prepare a meal.

This simple dish makes an ideal meal for children who love their pasta but also need their nutrition on point!

Stir-Fry Vegetables

Well, it’s time to move on from soup and macaroni and try something more edible! Let’s stir-fry some vegetables.

Stir-frying is a technique used in Chinese cooking that can be done quickly and preserves the crunchy texture of vegetables—perfect for those who don’t like their veggies too mushy!
