In order to increase your breast milk supply to your little one, here are a few healthy recipes that can help to boost your breast milk. There are a few key ingredients in some of these recipes that you may not be familiar with but are powerful enough to support a healthy lactation.

The ingredients are Fenugreek, Flaxseed, and Brewer’s Yeast. These ingredients are called galactagogues; a type of natural supplement that can help breastfeeding parents increase their breast milk supply.

Not to mention, the recipes are easy and it is suitable for your liking, especially for Malay mums.

Fish Soup with Papaya

Ingredients

  • 4 Croaker fish
  • 1 medium-sized Papaya
  • Ginger
  • 5 pcs Dried scallops
  • 3 Dates
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • Oil
  • Water

Instructions

  • Clean the fish and rub a little salt.
  • Peel and cut the papaya into cubes.
  • In a pan, add oil and fry the fish wih medium heat until the fish is cooked.
  • Put the fish in a pot and add some water. Let it boil.
  • After that, add the papaya and ginger.
  • Boil for at least one hour.

Fenugreek Soup

  • 1 cup Fresh fenugreek leaves
  • 1/2 Finely-chopped Onion
  • 1 Fresh tomato
  • 3 to 4 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 tbsp Sesame oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  • Wash and clean the fenugreek leaves.
  • Add sesame oil, garlic, onion, and stir-fry.
  • Add fenugreek leaves and saute until wilted.
  • Add two cups of water, salt, pepper and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Serve and can be eaten together with white rice.

  • ½ cup Flax seeds
  • 1 cup Ground coconut
  • cup Honey

Instructions

  • Mix the dry ingredients - oats, coconut, mini chocolate chips, yeast, and flax seeds.
  • Add peanut butter, honey and vanilla. Stir it well.
  • Refrigerate it for at least 1 hour.
  • After that, roll it into small balls.

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 3/4 cup Sugar

  • 3 tbsp Ground Moringa leaf powder

Instructions

  • Sift all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Put it aside.
  • Mix buttercream, sugar, and eggs and stir it well.
  • Mix vanilla, milk, and Moringa leaf powder. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients.
  • Pour this mixture in a muffin cup and bake it in the oven at 200°C for 25 minutes.
