Instead when your child wants a pet, do not just answer 'no' right away. In fact, try to explain it to them and help them understand why it isn't possible. For instance, ask them what is going to happen when nobody wants to take care of the pet?\r\n\r\nLet them think it through. Because through this method, your children will try to understand by solving the issue in front of them through questions. Parents need to consider what they want their child to learn.
