Time does pass by so fast, isn't it?! Now you are 7 weeks pregnant. At this point, your little bean is as big as a small blueberry. From as big as a pomegranate seed to as big as a small blueberry. Your little bean surely grows fast. There are other changes going through your body and also more development progress for your little bean. Let's find out more.
All About 7 Weeks Pregnant
The Growth Progression

This week big news will be the progress of your baby’s hands and feet are emerging from developing arms and legs. Although they look more like paddles at this point than the tiny baby fingers and toes you're daydreaming about holding and tickling.

Technically, your baby is still considered an embryo and has somewhat like a small tail, which is an extension of her tailbone. The tail will disappear within a few weeks, but that's the only thing getting smaller. Your baby has doubled in size since last week and now measures half an inch long, about the size of a small blueberry.

If you could see inside your womb, you'd spot eyelid folds partially covering her peepers. It already has some colour, as well as the tip of her nose and tiny veins beneath parchment-thin skin. Both hemispheres of your baby's brain are growing, and the liver is churning out red blood cells until the bone marrow forms and takes over this role. She also has an appendix and a pancreas, which will eventually produce the hormone insulin to aid in digestion.

A loop in your baby's growing intestines is bulging into her umbilical cord, which now has distinct blood vessels to carry oxygen and nutrients to and from her tiny body.

All of your baby’s important organs have begun to form. The baby’s hair, nipples, eyelids and tongue are starting to grow at this stage. You could also see your baby’s arms and legs forming. At this stage, your baby is about 4-5mm in length.
Body Changes For The Week

Bladder: You may soon start to notice a more frequent urge to pee. The amount of blood in your body is increasing, creating a lot of extra fluid that ends up in your bladder.

Eyelid: Eyelid folds now partially cover your baby's eyes.

Tailbone: What looks like a tail is actually an extension of your baby's tailbone. It will disappear in the next few weeks.

Umbilical cord: A loop of your baby's growing intestines is bulging into the umbilical cord.

Other Changes?

Your body will continue to change due to the increased pregnancy hormones that are required to sustain your pregnancy. You could either have an increased weight or losing weight. Do not worry if there is weight loss initially.
Apart from the other symptoms that occur during early pregnancy, you may notice changes in your breasts. It becomes more tender, sensitive to touch and increases in size. You may need to consider changing your bras.
In addition, the skin around your nipples may get darker and there may be several tiny bumps on it (Montgomery tubercles). Don't worry, all these changes are normal.

What Should You Plan This Week?

Start thinking about choosing your obstetrician or hospital to deliver your baby. Discuss with your partner which prenatal appointments he would like to attend with you.
 Buying maternity bras.
Discuss with your partner if he's okay with your mood and behaviour changes from time to time.

Tips For The Week

Make sure you're getting enough folic acid and other essential prenatal nutrients.
Do not use underwire bras as this could cause more pain to your breasts.
Buy comfortable cotton maternity bras to support your breasts and back.
Try out cotton sports bras which could be actually more comfortable.
You could try taking a warm shower to reduce the uncomfortable feelings associated with your enlarging breasts.
Avoid using soap on your nipples as it could dry out the area. Just use warm water.
Wear suitable sports bras during exercise.
Use a belly band to extend the life of your pants.

When you are 7 weeks pregnant, you are at the stage where you should ask every burning question you have in your mind from the whys, whats, whens and more. I know you can't help it but to ask as it is one of your many concern. Don't forget to get rid of any chemical-laden products such as insect repellent sprays.
