Children who get enough calcium start their adult lives with the strongest bones possible. Young kids need calcium and vitamin D to form and maintain healthy teeth and bones. We are blessed with plentiful of sunshine throughout the year hence very rarely children lack in Vitamin D as the sun is one of the best sources of this nutrient. However, many children do not consume enough calcium. We can overcome this by including calcium-enriched food into our children\u2019s daily meals. Cheese is a good source of calcium. Therefore I love adding them into my cooking and baking. Not only is cheese a good source of calcium, it also provides protein and a number of vitamins and minerals essential for growing children. One of my all-time favourite recipes with cheese is this super fluffy and soft cheese buns with double cheese. These buns are so soft, it is like eating cheese flavored clouds. Yummy! Sprinkled with glorious cheddar cheese to give it a tender-crisp cheesy top, I also kneaded the dough with cream cheese which makes these Cheese Buns soft and delicious. Because the cheese is worked into the dough helps make these the softest buns ever. Preparation time: 2 hours 30 mins (Inclusive proofing time) Baking time:\u00a0 20 minutes Serving size: 12 buns Ingredients: \t150ml milk \t2 tsp instant yeast \t30g sugar \t60g cream cheese \t1 egg \t300g bread flour \t1\/2 tsp salt \tShredded cheddar cheese (as needed) Method: \tMix luke warm milk, sugar and yeast. Stir and leave for 5 minutes \tIn a mixing bowl, add egg, cream cheese, bread flour, salt and yeast mixture \tKnead for about 10 minutes until dough is elastic \tShape dough into a big ball, place in a bowl, cover with a damp cloth and proof for 60 minutes \tDust work surface with flour \tDivide dough into 12 equal portions \tRoll them into balls \tCover and rest dough for 15 mins \tFlatten the dough and shape them into balls again \tArrange the balls onto baking tray \tCover with damp cloth and proof for 60 minutes \tBrush with egg wash \tSprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese \tBake in a preheated oven at 180C for 20 minutes Roll dough into balls, cover and proof for 60 minutes. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 20 minutes. Super soft, fluffy and flavorful double cheese buns. Just look at those cheesy golden tops. Believe me when I say you need to make these yourself and there will be no going back to store-bought cheese buns.
