So… Who Can Register for Year 1 2027?
For this intake, Year 1 registration is open to Malaysian citizen children in two age groups:

Children born between 2 January 2021 and 1 January 2022
These are children who will be entering Year 1 at age six (5+) -
Children born between 2 January 2020 and 1 January 2021
This is the usual Year 1 pathway, where children start at around seven

Step-by-Step: How to Register Your Child for Year 1 2027

Step 1: Log in or create an idMe account
This is the Ministry of Education’s main access point. If you’ve registered an older child before, you can use the same account. First-timers will need to create one.
Step 2: Update your details properly
Before applying, make sure:

Step 3: Submit the Year 1 application
Once everything is in place, you can proceed to the Year 1 application section, confirm your child’s details, select available school options, upload documents if required, and submit.
