Pipi Razi requires a little to no introduction for those acquainted in social media. These days, in an era full of people wanting to be on camera, Pipi does it naturally through his impeccable talent and skills effortlessly. On 8 December 1988, Pipi was born with the given name of Mohd Nor Afifi Bin Mohd Razi. The third child out of six siblings from Kota Tinggi, Johor has amassed thousands of followers on his social media accounts. Keep reading to check out our exclusive interview with this young man! Thank you for allowing us to interview you for this feature. Can you tell us what are you working on these days? Alhamdulillah, I am involved in plenty of modelling jobs from various companies and brands. I want to gain control to expand my creativity by creating suitable content for viewers on social media. You have modelled for many clothing brands from various brands and seasons in the fashion industry. What is your favourite Hari Raya colour outfit? I love neutral colours including beige, sand, camel and khaki, among others. These are classy, sophisticated colours that suit my skin tone and definitely brings out the best in me. Some of my favourite workout routines are weight training, especially leg workout and chest. As for cardio, I go jogging on a regular basis to keep up with my health and appearance. Do you think it is important for husbands and fathers to still work out and go to the gym? Yes. For me, it is a vital routine. Working out is very important to maintain our stamina and live healthy. Especially when you become a father, you need a lot of strength and energy, both internally and physically. If you are in good shape, you can take care of your children very well. Not only that, I think when you become a father or a husband, you need to be able to be an example to your own family. If you are healthy and live in good circumstances, your family will be determined to live a healthier life. Besides, you will also look good. Image credit: Pipi Razi official Instagram account Let’s be festive! Can you tell us about your Hari Raya celebration this year? My Hari Raya celebration is pretty normal this year. But we put a little more effort into preparing for Hari Raya this year, including duit raya. My family and I decorated the house and did a little more than last year and the year before. I mean, why not? Now that we are able to make visits. *laughs* What are some of your favourite Hari Raya dishes? I love ketupat and nasi impit combined with kuah lodeh as well as kuah kacang. These are my Hari Raya essentials, a must-have every year and they are my absolute favourites. Image credit: Pipi Razi official Instagram account Do you ever indulge in a sweet treat? As a matter of fact, I do. I love ice cream, especially those with exquisite flavours. I tend to explore my taste buds. If I have to get down to the basics, I love chocolate ice cream. You can never go wrong with chocolate, right? We understand very well how it feels to lose a loved one. It is never easy. We hope you don't mind us asking, can you tell us a few things about your late mother? I will never forget the days I spent with her. I was with her every day. She was one of the strongest people I have ever known. Even though she had stage four colon cancer, she fought it very hard and was so strong battling the disease until her passing years ago. I remember the two weeks before Hari Raya, when my mother and I would go out to get the essentials. We will be in town shopping together for our Hari Raya clothes and for her grandchildren. And of course, I will always cherish the coming days before Hari Raya with her. My mother and I went to a pasar (wet market) to get ingredients to prepare festive dishes. But the night before Hari Raya was probably the best. This is because we are in a bit of a hectic mode and will be getting everything ready for Hari Raya. My late mother will be busy in the kitchen cooking rendang and nagging at the same time, while making sure everything goes smoothly. Truth be told, my parents separated when I was in my last year of secondary school. At that time, I was living with her. Being a single parent can be challenging for anyone, especially for mothers. Even though I was about to graduate from secondary school, I still have younger siblings. My mother worked really hard to raise her children. She was a receptionist at a company in Ampang Park. At the same time, she earned extra money by selling cookies. A month before Hari Raya, she took on other jobs, including sewing clothes. I have no idea if I am a romantic person or not.
