In honour of International Breastfeeding Awareness Month, Nuren Group, Malaysia’s foremost motherhood platform, aims to collect one thousand pledges in support of breastfeeding. This achievement will earn them a spot in the Malaysian Book of Records for 'The Most Breastfeeding Pledges Collected In An Event'. Nursing mothers face countless challenges in this day and age. Knowing the importance of breastfeeding is not enough. Educational, social and mental support are crucial in ensuring that mums do not lose motivation to breastfeed their babies when issues arise. The purpose of the campaign is to normalise, champion and spread awareness of breastfeeding as well as celebrate the wonders of motherhood. The ultimate hope is to see a positive rise in national breastfeeding rates among Malaysian mothers. ‘Breastfeeding is more than a choice; it's a commitment to love, health, and empowerment. And we’re so excited to be spearheading this campaign’, said Petrina Goh, Nuren Group’s CEO and co-founder. ‘Our pledge is simple yet powerful: to be there for every breastfeeding mother, to share in their triumphs, and to support them through it all’. Nuren’s participation in The Malaysian Book of Records, in an attempt to collect The Most Breastfeeding Pledges, is a step in the right direction. Helping pave the way for more acceptance and knowledge of breastfeeding not only among the public but among mothers as well. Those who wish to take the pledge can do so by going to the Motherhood Malaysia Breastfeeding Celebration Event website. Each pledger will get a Certificate of Participation and a goody bag. In addition to the campaign, Nuren is also organising the #MotherhoodBFF Breastfeeding Event from the 25th to the 27th of August 2023 at Centre Court Atrium, G Floor, Tropicana Gardens Mall from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The event boasts an impressive line-up of Malaysian brands, including Shapee, Milkee Lab, SK Magic, Pigeon and many more. One of the top award-winning brands specialising in comfortable, fashionable and functional breastfeeding and maternity products, Shapee, is sponsoring 50x Maternity Compression Support Leggings worth RM89 each. Nuren will also be organising educational talks in a special collaboration with Thomson Hospital and Latch Lab.
