From 22 May to 7 June 2026, the mall is hosting its MINIONS & MONSTERS School Holiday Campaign 2026, with a global-first showcase taking over Urban Node, located between Muji and Uniqlo at the MRT Plaza Entrance.
Inspired by Illumination’s upcoming film, MINIONS & MONSTERS, the showcase brings visitors into an expressive and unexpected world filled with interactive zones, creative activities, and plenty of picture-worthy spots.
Step Into the MINIONS & MONSTERS Showcase
A little fun fact: The Exchange TRX is the first destination in the world to host this immersive MINIONS & MONSTERS showcase, making it one of the key highlights of the school holiday season.
Located at Urban Node, between Muji and Uniqlo at the MRT Plaza Entrance, the installation brings visitors into a film-inspired setting filled with larger-than-life visuals, playful storytelling, and hands-on experiences.
The journey begins at The Breach, where visitors receive a passport to guide them through the showcase.
From there, they can explore different interactive zones, each designed with something to see, try or capture.
At The Irene Tsunami Action Cam, shoppers can enjoy creative photo opportunities and take part in a challenge to count the eyes on Irene, one of the monster characters from MINIONS & MONSTERS.
Meanwhile, Irene’s Eye Catcher Digital Photobook features illuminated photo walls and pop-up environments that make it easy to capture memorable moments.
Families can also head to The Spellbook Summoning Chamber, where they can cast spells and bring mischievous monsters to life on screen.
With towering centrepiece sculptures and expressive set-ups throughout the space, the showcase gives visitors a distinctive, event-worthy experience before MINIONS & MONSTERS arrives in cinemas on 1 July 2026.
Make Time for Creative Workshops Too
Every Friday to Sunday throughout the campaign, The Exchange TRX will also host arts and crafts workshops for visitors who want to add a hands-on activity to their day.
The sessions include Minion Pebbles Painting and Irene’s Slime Making Workshops, giving children and visitors a chance to sit down, create, and enjoy the showcase at a slower pace.
There is also a dedicated Workshop Corner and Merchandise Area featuring exclusive MINIONS & MONSTERS collectibles, including plush toys and themed keepsakes.
Visitors can also enjoy a special popcorn tasting experience by GSC Aurum during selected sessions.
