As we all know, giving birth has an adverse effect on mummies’ bodies. So, you need to eat nutritious confinement meals to quicken your healing process.

The reason why we brought to you these chicken confinement recipes is because it has many health benefits. Here are some pros of consuming chicken during your postpartum period:

First and foremost, chicken is a great confinement food because it is rich in protein. Postpartum mummies are highly recommended to eat food that is rich in protein.

Especially mummies who undergo C-section.

Protein can help to speed up your recovery process whilst quickening the process of developing new cell tissues. Protein can also help to lower your ‘baby blues’ and stabilise your sugar levels.

Next, it is also a great source of iron which is great for your postpartum body. New mummies must consume a sufficient amount of iron, especially those who underwent C-section. This is because you lost a lot of blood during the surgery and iron can help to promote your immune system.

Now that we know some of the benefits of eating chicken during your postpartum period, let’s explore the chicken confinement recipes together, shall we?
