Our Long Journey of Conception With 5 Miscarriages In Between #1 Welcoming three conceptions that ended with heartbreaking moments I was pregnant for the first time in 2013. The bad news struck us during the year-end when the doctor told us that we had lost our baby. As we were eager to start our own family, we continued trying again and again. And I conceived after three to four months. The history repeated itself during my 11th week of pregnancy. I went for a check-up and the doctor told us that we lost the baby. Our failed attempt did not stop until my third miscarriage. As we tried again after another three to four months, I got pregnant for the third time. Unfortunately, a devastating news awaited us during my check-up on the 12th week. We heard the same utterance from the doctor, You lost the baby. After experiencing three miscarriages, I finally gave up. I decided to put a stop on conceiving. Let's put a break to it. I was physically and mentally exhausted. I felt so weak to continue our attempts of having our own child. So, we took a break around a year. #2 Taking a break from the attempts of conception and pregnancy During our break, we went on holidays around the world. Throughout the break, we shared similar thoughts on conception and pregnancy: It's fine. We don't want to get pregnant anymore. However, our dream of starting a family never dies away. We felt disturbed again after a year. We looked into our hearts again and realised that we really wanted to have our own child. #3 Reigniting Our Fight For Conception and Pregnancy We went through another round of attempts and I got pregnant again. Just as you might think that I have finally succeeded in my fourth attempt, I suffered from another miscarriage. Still, we did not give up. We tried again and I got pregnant for the fifth time in 2016. Our hope was built high as the pregnancy carried up to 16 weeks. We decided to went for our regular check-up during my birthday. Just as I lay on the bed for the doctor to scan and examine my pregnancy, we were caught off guard by the doctor's conclusion, Sorry Kohgilaa, we lost the baby. Upon listening to the doctor, both of us went completely blank. Being the worst moment of my life, we came out of the examination room and wait for the doctor. The waiting moments passed away silently as both of us were not talking. My husband broke the silence by comforting me. He asked me to keep calm and never get panicked. Thus, we went into the room again and the doctor said we had to remove the baby. It's so heartbreaking for both of us as it's almost a fully formed baby by the 16th week. Feeling devastated, I was desperate for a solution to materialize our dream of having a family. Fortunately, Doctor Bala from KPJ Kajang brought us a good news. I could receive injections of Clexane to continue my upcoming pregnancy. Though the fear of having and losing the baby still lingered between my husband and I, we saw a little hope towards our dream. We decided to give it a try. #4 Our Persistence Had Finally Paid Off Image Credit: Prasad & Kohgilaa for Motherhood Story And here came my sixth pregnancy. I bought and tried the pregnancy test kit in the washroom. Then, I asked my husband to check for the result. My husband was extremely happy to find out that I got pregnant again. Unlike the previous pregnancies, we were having a lot more confidence. We really hoped that we could make it this time. Everything went smoothly as the doctor also confirmed the stability of my pregnancy. Around seven o'clock in the morning on 3rd July, we went to the hospital for admission. I underwent an operation and we saw our lovely princess. Both of us could still remember vividly the moment our daughter came out and cried out loud. I could never forget the surge of emotions when the doctor put the baby on my chest. I shed tears of happiness as my baby was scratching my neck. Honestly speaking, we didn't expect to go this far to get ourselves a cute little princess. We tried hard for each pregnancy and every pregnancy was doomed to disappointment. Fortunately, we persisted throughout the process and believed that we could really have our own child. Living as a happy family of three now, we always have this in mind when it comes to how determined we are. What if we had stopped trying and never knew our baby was waiting for us at the sixth try? https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?vu5PbMQlmY88 Never Stop Believing In Your Success of Conception With The Support From Clearblue Just as Prasad and Kohgilaa, both you and your spouse need to believe strongly in your dream of starting a family.
